2010 Annual Members Exhibition - November 5, 2010 through January 31, 2011

Last Days of Summer by B.Rossitto was selected for the show.

We are very fortunate to have Charles Movalli as our juror of selection and awards this year. Charles received his BA from Clark University and his PhD from UConn. He has edited nine art books - with Emile Gruppe, Roger Curtis, Paul Strisik, Betty Lou Schlemm, and Claude Croney - and written over 70 articles as a Contributing Editor to American Artist magazine. He has demonstrated and lectured for over 100 art organization and conducted painting workshops in 24 states, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. His paintings are included in numerous private and corporate collections and he has won many prizes for his work including the Gold Medal at the Salmagundi Club and the Gold and Silver Medals at the Rockport Art Association. He is listed in Who's Who in American Art.

Glastonbury, CT (March 6th, 2011) - On Holiday: The Artist Travels March 4–April 23, 2011 This 2nd Annual themed exhibition features work by Member Artists inspired by vacation or travel experiences. Work executed during the artist’s journey or created at home from memories of travel are included, with still lifes and portraits with travel/vacation-related themes as well as landscapes. B.Rossitto has two paintings that were accepted into this competition. Lyme Art Association is located in the historic building that was home to the American Impressionists. This monarch butterfly was enjoying the summer day in my garden, flitting around and around, he stopped for a second on the speedwell where I snapped this photo which won me 2nd place in the Connecticut Audubon Society Amateur Photography Contest.
